Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Core Utils website, tools and services you agree to these Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Legal Notice. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.

2. The services

Core Utils offers open-source developer tools (CLI and desktop apps) and web services on core-utils.dev, including Forge (community forum), Connect (chat), Relay (client messaging), EasyForms (form builder), Solutions (custom-work requests), DevWrapped (a GitHub year recap) and Ollama Chat (a zero-backend client for your local Ollama). The services are provided free of charge and “as is”; there are no platform payments or automated transactions.

3. Open-source license

Most Core Utils tools are released under open-source licenses. Each tool’s specific license is in its repository. By using our open-source tools you agree to comply with the applicable license.

4. Acceptable use and your content

• Keep your account and credentials secure and do not impersonate others.
• Do not use the services for unlawful, harmful, abusive or infringing purposes, and do not post illegal content, spam, malware or other people’s personal data without a legal basis (this applies to Forge, Connect and Relay).
• You are responsible for the content you submit. When you collect responses through EasyForms you are the data controller of those responses and must comply with data-protection law toward the people whose data you collect; we act only as a processor on your behalf.
• When you generate a DevWrapped recap, use it only for lawful purposes; it is built from publicly available GitHub data and the person concerned may request its removal.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or circumvent the security of the services.

5. Intellectual property

Core Utils and its licensors retain all intellectual-property rights in the services except for open-source components, which are governed by their respective licenses. You may not use the Core Utils name or logos without prior written consent.

6. Disclaimers and liability

The services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. CLI and desktop tools run on your own machine at your own risk, and Ollama Chat and the AI recap connect to third-party endpoints you choose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the services; nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

7. Changes to these terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
